How Do I...

Register at the Parish

To register at the Parish, please call the Parish Office
at (815) 485-8049 and leave your name, address, and
telephone number with the receptionist. Our welcoming
coordinator will then call you to make an appointment to
officially register you at your home.

Schedule a Baptism

Baptisms are celebrated on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Sundays
of most months for registered members of our Parish
Community. Parents wishing to have a child baptized are
expected to attend one Baptism Preparation Session (either
1st Monday or 4th Thursday at 7:00 pm) if they have never
had a child baptized or if this will be their first baptism at St.
Jude’s. Please contact the Parish Office to register for one
of these sessions.

Schedule a Wedding

Catholic parties should be members of the St. Jude Parish
Community. Marriage dates must be scheduled at least six
months before the wedding to allow time for evaluation and
preparation.

For more information and scheduling, please contact the Parish
Office at 485-8049.

Become a Catholic

R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

R.C.I.A. is the process through which people become fully initiated
members of the Roman Catholic Church. With its vision that includes
a life of ongoing conversion, RCIA begins with Inquiry, the first in
a four-stage process. Held in the Franciscan Hall at 7 PM on the first
and third Thursdays, January through August, Inquiry meetings are for
any of the following:

1) Anyone interested in becoming Catholic;
2) Baptized Catholics who have not received Holy Communion
    and/or Confirmation;
3) Catholics who wish to update their faith; or
4) Individuals in interfaith marriages who wish to gain some
    understanding of their partner's faith.

Although R.C.I.A. is a yearlong process, the formal phase begins
in September and continues through Pentecost. Candidates, sponsors
and team members meet on a regular basis, if you are interested in
learning more about RCIA or becoming part of the process, please call
Carolyn Shaw at 463-4211 or Deacon Bob Fitt at 463-4215.

Arrange a Funeral

Please contact the Parish Office.
Also, please contact the office before publishing in the news media.
