Location: Drop off & pick up is at St. Jude in the picnic grove (or inside Franciscan Hall if it’s raining).
Age: This event is open to incoming 7th & 8th grade teens for the Junior High group and incoming freshmen through graduated seniors for the high school group. Tuesday's refugee simulation is also open to adults and families with children in older elementary school grades.
Description of the event: For the 4th summer in a row, St. Jude will host an outrageously exciting week of evening gatherings for junior high & high school teens and their friends. These dynamic evenings combine hilarious community-building games with thought-provoking testimonials and teachings to help teens grow in faith and friendship with God. Teens can experience the Sacraments and have a blast with new and old friends (with lots of yummy snacks of course). Please register on line and turn in the permission form and $10 (suggested donation) by July 5th.
Transportation: On Wednesday, we will carpool in personal vehicles from St. Jude Church to Hands of Hope Food Distribution Center in Joliet.
What to bring: You can bring a friend, a snack to share, or just yourself! Please wear long pants and close toed shoes on Wednesday for the service trip.
"Check it out!" If you are hesitant to sign up for the entire week, we encourage you to "check it out" to see if you would like to come again. 99% of participants come again and many of them bring their friends back too!
