M.O.M.S. Ministry of Moms Sharing is a ministry devoted to serving the needs of ALL MOMS with children of every age. We offer an informal setting to meet other moms of the parish, allowing children the opportunities to make new friends. Our Fall/Winter/Spring events are held monthly. We meet in Franciscan Hall Rooms 3 & 4. Summer events are held weekly at local parks, Brookfield Zoo, Splash Parks, and various other summer attractions. All calendar events are selected by the MOMS, according to their requests and preferences. Our aim is to nurture moms in their ministry of motherhood, while fostering a strong faith life within the family. 

Looking for a fun way to fulfill your Explore Four requirements for Faith Formation? COME MEET THE MOMS!! Sunday, Pre-School In our Sunday, Pre-School the children enjoy 14 classes between the months of September to April, during the 9am Mass. In these sessions they learn about creation and popular bible stories, saints, and our 4 & 5 year olds are introduced to 7 major aspects of our faith through our Call to Faith textbook series. This is a wonderful introduction to the basic concepts that are unpacked at age-appropriate levels throughout our Grades Pre-K-6 Faith Formation program.

Registration is available for the 2013-2014 School Year in the Parish Office. We are accepting Volunteer Registrations forms for the 2013-2014 Pre-School year! Many thanks to our wonderful catechists and aides for their hard work and dedication to this ministry. May God Bless you and your families throughout the summer months. We hope to see all of our catechists back again next year, new volunteers are also welcome!

Children’s Liturgy of the Word, CLOW-Children’s Liturgy of the Word, offers children 5 years old through 3rd grade the opportunity to hear the Liturgy of the Word (Readings and Homily) at an age appropriate level during Mass. Children arrive at Mass along with their families for the Entrance Hymn and Opening Prayer then the children age 5 years old through 3rd grade are invited forward to receive a blessing along with the trained CLOW volunteers. The children are taken to Franciscan Hall where they hear the same readings we hear at Mass, and a Homily prepared for them at a level they can understand. Children are returned to their parents during the Liturgy of the Eucharist Preparation of the gifts for the remainder of Mass. Many thanks to our Children’s Liturgy of the Word volunteers, who help our young children understand the Liturgy of the Word at their own level. It is a joy to see the young children actively engaged in the Mass, thanks to your generous efforts. We will resume Children’s Liturgy of the Word in September 2013!
