Bereavement Ministry

Our volunteers assist in the consolation of our parish members who are experiencing grief due to the death of a family member. Members may
choose to help by sending cards, visiting at funerals, offering prayers,
phone tree messaging, and/or personal telephone calls. Those who wish
to participate from an in-home basis are needed too. Volunteers looking
for a meaningful way to help Parishioner's during their time of grief are
needed and welcome to join the Bereavement Ministry.
The Bereavement Ministry is separate, but compliments the Grief Support Group offered monthly by our Grief and Support Counselor, Maureen Dunne-McGraw.
Volunteers work with Sandy Spicer, a parish staff member, who handles all funeral arrangements in the Parish Office.
For more information or to volunteer, please call 815/485-8049.
We welcome everyone.
We have many caring people at St.Jude Parish, and we hope you will consider joining this ministry
to share Christian love and support for our grieving Parishioners.
